POPE SHENOUDA MIRACLE - FOR ALL THOSE WHO DO NOT TAKE COMMUNION OFTEN, OR WONDER WHY TAKE IT OFTEN:

I was watching CTV just now and Pope Shenouda's best friend, Fayiz, has a daughter named Layla who was on CTV talking to the interviewer on the show. Layla was asked to talk about any miracles she might have seen during Pope Shenouda's life.

FYI: I do not like to tell miracles that I do not believe are verifiable or legitimate. I have the video interview of this lady, and the picture and video evidence of the closeness of her family and her father with Pope Shenouda.

She said that during a time in her life she would not go to church often and take Communion (the Body and Blood of Christ) because her job was taking up most of her schedule. One morning she took a small nap and had a dream. Pope Shenouda was at a church in Alexandria where he would sometimes give his sermon on Sunday, and she met him at the door of the church as he was entering to go give a sermon she told His Holiness (H.H.), "Pray for me ya sayedna." H.H. said, "Okay, I'll pray for you." So he prayed for her, but before he left her he told her, "Look Layla, I'm going to give the sermon, and I want you to pray with your heart earnestly and cry outl 'O LORD' three times, and when I finish you tell me what you saw."

So during the sermon, she cried out "O LORD" three times. Then she saw St. George (who happens to be her favorite personal intercessor) and she could hear his horse's hooves. Around her were a cluster of numerous flies and mosquitoes all around her flying. Then St. George took out his beautiful big sword and swiped at them all till they all died.

Then Pope Shenouda came out of his sermon and said to Layla, "In the end what did you see?" She explained how she cried out "O LORD" three times and what she saw afterward.

Then he told her: DO YOU WANT TO SEE THE PICTURE OF YOURSELF THAT GOD HIMSELF SEES OF YOU?

So, she was a bit perplexed and said, "Yes. Is there anyone who wouldn't want to see that?"

She found herself wearing a dress that was torn in various places and not clean. She felt her appearance was truly unappealing. "Is this how I really look ya sayedna?"

H.H. answered, "Yes, this is the picture as God sees you."

Then she looked and found in my dress places that were not torn but actually looked new. She asked H.H., "what are these new pieces of cloth?"

He replied, "These are the good things you have done in your life."

So she said, "How do I clean up my dress and make it look nicer? I don't like the way I look at all. I thought that God saw me arrayed with so much beauty."

H.H. laughed in a kind manner and responded, "By taking Communion. By the blood of the Lamb [i.e., Christ]."

She woke up and then, the first time she saw Pope Shenouda in real life after seeing H.H. in the dream, which was during a celebration commemorating H.H.'s ordination, she brought him a large picture of St. George she had drawn. She said, "Sayedna, this is something small."

H.H. was very grateful, "Thank you, Thank you."

So Layla told H.H.., "It's just that I saw a revelation, and Your Reverence were there, and St. George."

Then H.H. responded, "Of course, that was because you were at that time still not taking communion." H.H. said this with the kindest tone, while smiling, and without any hint of condemnation. "Of course Layla that is not now! That was when you weren't taking communion [regularly]."
