This hymn is one of the popular Coptic hymns.
Like other Coptic hymns its style and tone are taken from Ancient Egyptian music.
ِAs other hymns, It was used in Egyptian Coptic Orthodox Church since its first centuries.
This hymn is Eporo/Epwro "Faraihi" or Festival Eporo, the happiness in the hymn is clear in the vocal layer and the active speed. It's said in feasts, bishop reception and other happy occasions but of course not in fasts. There is an Arabic translation of it "يا ملك السلام" (ya malek al salam) which can be sung in Arabic also in some occasions.
As it's called "Faraihi' there is a "Hazaini" or sad version of it which is said in some occasions during fasts.
